That moment when you look through your archives that date back to sometime in 2011… it hurts. 

Its 2017 and here’s what I’ve learned:

Love - you will love and you will get hurt. don’t let this discourage you. its all a learning experience, it is what you make it. getting hurt fucking sucks but finding your person makes it all worth it in the end. learn and grow. forgive them. let go. move on. learn from the mistakes.

Friends - they will either grow with you or grow apart from you. cherish the good ones, don’t sweat the bad apples. nip fake friends in the bud, you don’t need them. real recognize reallllll.

Career - find something you love and do it. not something you’ll waste your life away doing. be passionate, determined and goal-orientated. never stop learning about your craft. keeeeep goingggg. never give up what you love. work hard and stay focused.

Religion - my faith has taken its own path. i am spiritual rather than religious. its a pagan/wiccan path that i’ve made my own. crystals. chakras. meditation. spells. herbs. candles. books. the moon. the sun. love. peace. happiness. the Universe.

General - the more i listen to my intuition, the more i learn about myself, the more i learn to love myself, THE MORE AT PEACE I AM. its stressful for me to try to be someone im not. its stressful to listen to others opinions and try to fit in everyone elses image of myself. not worth my happiness, I am who I am. those who matter have stuck around and I appreciate them for that. its true, the good ones will love you for you.

It has been a crazy 6 years. Its been heartbreaking, its been amazing, its been filled with tears, joy, happiness and sadness. BUT my outlook on life has become more positive and loving. I trust in the Universe. I follow my own path. I am much happier these days.

6 years ago, I was 18 and an emotional, depressed mess. Today, I am 24 and an emotional, passionate, loving, happier mess. IT GETS BETTER. KEEP GOING. 

You will find love, you will finish school, you will have your own things (house, car, etc), you will get that job you want, you will experience so many things, you will learn from them, you will travel, you will lose, you will win, you will have it all and you will have nothing.

THE POINT IS - life is not a fucking race. follow your own path at your own pace. do whatever it is that makes you happy. its a journey, enjoy it to the fullest. you only get one. make the best of it.
